Job Description
We are seeking an RTO Operations Coordinator to join our Learning and Development team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our RTO, while supporting the delivery of high-quality education and training resources.

This position is integral to our mission, driving forward key initiatives and contributing to the overall success of our team. Your expertise will shape our strategic direction and operational efficiency, directly impacting our innovation, growth, and the maintenance of SLSA's iconic Australian brand.
About the role
Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, the RTO Operations Coordinator will:
- Coordinate and manage administrative functions of the ALA, including enrolments, certification, compliance reporting, and student records.
- Respond to enquiries, provide course information, and ensure timely resolution of complaints.
- Support compliance and continuous improvement processes within the RTO.
- Assist with the development, design and proofing of competency-based training resources.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops and projects to support the delivery of Learning and Development outcomes.
- Act as the key day-to-day contact for members, stakeholders and industry partners.

We’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for supporting education in the lifesaving community. To be successful, you will have:
Qualifications (essential):
- SLSA Bronze Medallion and Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) PUA20119
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in education, project management, or administration
Knowledge and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in RTO/VET operations and compliance
- Experience designing and developing training resources (competency-based preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Understanding of Surf Life Saving programs, philosophies and services (highly regarded)

- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Planning, research and analysis capability
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines
