Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, this position will work within the Business and Governance portfolio of Gymnastics Victoria. The Community Engagement Officer (Club Services) is responsible for delivering key operational, administrative, and engagement services and programs that support club development, membership growth, and the delivery of quality programs aligned with Gymnastics Victoria’s strategic objectives.
The services and programs delivered by the Community Engagement Officer exist to strengthen the connection between Gymnastics Victoria and its member clubs, ensuring that clubs, coaches, judges, and members receive consistent support and access to quality education and development opportunities. By streamlining administrative processes, fostering club capability, promoting inclusive and child-safe practices, and increasing community visibility, these initiatives help create a more connected, professional, and sustainable gymnastics ecosystem across Victoria, characterised by a strong culture and valued service.
This is a Part-Time (0.8 FTE) – 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract.

Role-Specific Responsibilities
Strategic
- Contribute to the Gymnastics Victoria strategic plan and priority projects.
- Support clubs and technical members in policy navigation and compliance.
- Embed inclusive and child-safe practices across all operations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist clubs with capability self-audits and development plans.
- Conduct club visits to support the administration and development needs.
- Provide clear, consistent, policy-aligned information.
- Assist in delivering growth events such as conferences, forums, and webinars.
- Represent GV at community events, expos, and meetings.
- Support coaches and judges with education, training, and system use.
- Update website resources and create manuals for clubs and technical members.
- Serve as a GV representative on a GymSport Technical Committee.
Operational & Administrative
- Act as first contact for phone and email enquiries.
- Manage membership administration, including records and points updates.
- Oversee annual club affiliation processes.
- Collect membership data and manage quarterly billing.
- Promote and process LAT badge orders.
- Process assessments for points and pre-course requirements.
- Manage end-to-end administration for coach/judge education activities, including bookings, registrations, materials, schedules, staffing, and assessments.
