About the role

The Coach Education Specialist role facilitates coach education within the Tennis Coach team by training potential and existing coaches to the highest standards and helping drive the growth of our sport. This role will implement the Tennis Australia (TA) Coach strategy, priorities, and projects.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate and facilitate coaching courses, workshops, and the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program for coaches.
  • Identify the CPD needs of the local coaches to develop learning solutions in collaboration with the Coach Learning team.
  • Engage and identify current and future business leaders to headline industry engagement
  • Provide industry-based networking opportunities to support coaches, share innovation and best practice
  • Actively promote coaching pathways to the coach network utilising a range of communication channels

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • TA coach membership or willingness to become a TA coach member (essential)
  • Coaching qualification - minimum L2 Club Professional, L3 High Performance or Master Club Professional (highly desirable)
  • The ability to build professional relationships with coaches of all levels and backgrounds
  • Extensive experience coaching tennis (participation and performance)
  • Knowledge of the tennis coaching pathway within Australia and internationally
  • A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
