About the role
We’re seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Retail & Merchandise Executive to join our team. Reporting to the Retail & Merchandise Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering exceptional merchandise experiences for our members, fans, and community.
You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of our retail operations, from game day merchandise stalls to our online store, ensuring stock is well-presented, sales run smoothly, and our products reflect the pride of the Parramatta Eels. This is a hands-on role that combines customer service, operations, and merchandising, with the opportunity to contribute to product launches and fan engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all merchandise operations for game days, including set-ups, sales reconciliation, and staff management in conjunction with the Retail and Merchandise Manager
- Manage day-to-day operations of the storefront at the Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence, ensuring it is fully stocked, visually appealing, and delivers an exceptional customer experience
- Manage end-to-end retail shop operations, ensuring stock levels and presentation are maintained
- Oversee stock control processes, including warehouse liaison, transfers, returns, and inventory reconciliation
- Maintain and update data for range planning and stock systems
- Assist with merchandise range planning and marketing coordination for upcoming product launches
- Maintain and update the Shopify e-commerce platform and all online product listings
- Generate and analyse internal reports on sales, stock levels, fulfilment, and inventory performance
- Facilitate invoicing and internal merchandise request processes
- Support internal departments with custom merchandise needs and deliveries
- Support and mentor interns involved in marketing and retail operations
- Coordinate casual staff rosters, timesheets, and assist with recruitment and training.
Qualifications & Skills
- Background in retail sales
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, retail, or a related field (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and locations
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Availability to work outside standard business hours, including weekends and game days at Parramatta Eels matches
- Current driver's licence (essential)
- Experience using Shopify or other e-commerce platforms (desirable but not essential).
