Loreto Normanhurst is seeking a passionate and experienced First VIII Rowing Coach on a casual basis to lead and inspire our senior rowing athletes. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-performance program within a values-driven, supportive school community.
As the First VIII Rowing Coach, you will be responsible for the performance and development of the First Eight crew, delivering high-quality training sessions and fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and wellbeing.
- Deliver exceptional coaching and athlete development for the First VIII and Senior Rowing cohort.
- Assist with program planning and operational execution.
- Ensure safety, risk management, and compliance at all training sessions and events.
- Provide technical rigging, equipment optimisation, and performance analysis.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance coaching environment.
- Actively represent and promote the sport program within the school and wider community, celebrating student achievement and fostering a culture of leadership through sport.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance
- A current NSW Boat License is preferred.
- First Aid Qualification.
- Level 2 Coaching qualification
- Experience towing rowing trailers is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of rowing, rigging, and equipment maintenance.
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, and travel to regattas and training camps as required.
