Loreto Normanhurst is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Boathand to join our Rowing Program. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the high standards of our rowing facilities, boats, and equipment, and supporting the performance and development of our students.
- Maintain and repair rowing boats and equipment to ensure safety and performance.
- Manage equipment inventory, labelling, and storage systems.
- Tow trailers and transport equipment to various rowing venues.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and child protection standards.
- Support training sessions and rowing events, including travel across and beyond Sydney.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional boatshed environment.
- Optional: coaching crews in the rowing program in discussion with the Head of Rowing.
- Actively represent and promote the sport program within the school and wider community, celebrating student achievement and fostering a culture of leadership through sport.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance
- A current NSW Boat License is preferred.
- First Aid Qualification.
- Coaching experience and/or qualifications are desirable.
- Experience towing rowing trailers is preferred.
- Current drivers licence (required for transporting equipment)
- Willing to travel to sporting venues across the greater Sydney metropolitan area
