As a School, whose strategic and moral imperative is to Empower Girls, specifically through a liberal, humane, progressive education, Mentone Girls’ Grammar is seeking to appoint an energetic, reliable and experienced Swim School Coordinator
Reporting to the Aquatic Centre Manager, the Swim School Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering high quality aquatic education and experiences in our Aquatic Centre. This position is responsible for the effective coordination and continuous improvement of the Swim and Diving School programs, ensuring a safe, engaging and progressive learning environment for all participants.
This position will require a person with ambition and drive who will identify opportunities, including new programs, to maximise participation in the swimming and aquatics programs. To be success in this role, the successful applicant will be asked to lead by example and hold a range of skills and capabilities across all centre functions including customer experience, learn to swim programs, health and safety compliance, and pool operations.
The role will require someone who will develop training policies and programs for all levels of swimmers, and manage a team of Learn to Swim instructors.
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching, and will be a personable, forward-thinking and organised individual with a positive attitude. Demonstrated experience in the development and design of learn to swim programs and the management/coordination of swim school staff including a team of casuals is essential, as is a customer focused approach to service.
Due to the nature of the position, there is regular contact with the public. This position will also be required to coordinate and participate in the Aquatic Centre School holiday programs.
The position is being offered as full-time to commence in Term 3.
