About the team – The Infrastructure and Network Team forms part of the broader Enterprise & IT Support Services Teams that provide a central point of contact, and support model, for all ASC End Users into Technology Group and collaborate closely across all Service Towers within the group. The I&N Teams high level function and capabilities include.

  • Level 3 administration, engineering, support and maintenance managing ASC End User interactions that have been elevated to the team from the Services Desk, Level 2 Support or other teams within Technology Group to facilitate additional SME level of support through diagnosis to resolution of IT Incidents or Problems and/or the fulfilment of IT Service Requests. I&N will additionally manage Event Management including proactive monitoring and alerting on ASC Infrastructure and Networks.

About the role – Reporting to the Assistant Director of Enterprise & IT Support Services, you will be responsible for team leadership of business-as-usual ICT activities delivering subject matter expertise, technical advice and advocacy for infrastructure and network solutions.

As a part of the Enterprise and IT Support leadership unit, you will lead a team of professionals that proactively support and maintain Technology Group’s operational infrastructure and network environment and capabilities.

You will provide expert technical team leadership and advocate innovative solutions that support the efficient and effective delivery of the ASC ICT objectives while leading service acceptance of technical delivery aspects of infrastructure and network projects to ensure they meet and deliver sustainable, efficient, secure and integrated solutions.

Working in collaboration with multiple level 1, 2 and 3 support and maintenance teams, this diverse role involves support and maintenance of ASC’s infrastructure and networks.

You will ensure compliance to policies, processes, procedures and supporting materials while supporting the Director and Assistant Director manage service acceptance artefacts for ICT services developed, maintained and transitioned to operations.

About you – The successful candidate must be a motivated individual with high levels of attention to detail and a willingness to lead the I&N team to support and maintain developed and delivered ICT infrastructure and networks while being experienced in adopting and implementing ITSM support and maintenance methodologies and industry best practices within a technology centric environment.

We are seeking an individual with an operational support / customer centric mindset, with a can-do attitude, excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstrated high-level of communication skills who is able to maintain successful relationships and confidently work across Technology Group and the broader ASC. The successful candidate will have:

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a team lead supporting and maintaining ICT operational environments
  • Tertiary qualifications, certification and/or demonstrated experience in an Information
  • Technology field including, but not limited to:
    • Azure, Microsoft 365, InTune, ADFS, Entra ID and modern authentication (SAML, OIDC).
    • Network Management experience using Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technologies, Fortinet firewalls and HPE Aruba networking.
    • Experience with virtualisation platforms and underlying physical infrastructure (compute and storage)
    • Windows Server and Microsoft SQL patching and troubleshooting.
    • Automation and scripting experience.
    • Deploying and managing digital certificates and certificate authorities.
    • Web application deployment and debugging.
    • Application integration leveraging APIs and automation frameworks.
    • Application whitelisting and vulnerability management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate with influence when working with non-technical stakeholders and document process and procedures.
  • Experience of I&N and /or systems integration and product and platform implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, business units and stakeholders with a passion for service delivery.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for this position applicants are required to be Australian citizens only and must be able to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.
