The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™. This marks Australia's second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in 2006, and follows the success of co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™.
You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), which has been established for the sole purpose of delivering the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™ in Australia.
This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four. We are eager to create another tournament that celebrates women's football and multicultural Australia and also delivers legacy outcomes for football and Australian society more broadly.

Your Next Big Match
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of contract administration and financial reporting for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 (WAC26). This role plays a critical function in ensuring effective contract lifecycle management across key overlay and event delivery contracts, supporting the successful execution of one of Asia’s premier football tournaments. This position is accountable for end-to-end contract operations, including contract validation, change control, variation management, conflict resolution, cost estimation, and budget forecasting. The Contracts Manager will also lead financial reporting efforts and provide strategic contract guidance to internal stakeholders and functional area leads, ensuring delivery in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and tournament timelines.
Please note that this role is fixed term until 20th April 2026
- Develop and implement supplier-specific contract management plans in collaboration with project stakeholders and Local Organizing Committee (LOC) senior leadership
- Manage the end-to-end administration of supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with agreed plans, project timelines, and strategic objectives
- Act as the interface between suppliers and Site Managers to manage contractual performance in terms of cost, schedule, and scope of work
- Review and validate supplier documentation, including bills of quantities and progress claims, in accordance with contractual milestones and approved variations
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on interpreting and delivering commercial and contractual commitments across all supplier agreements
- Establish and maintain controls required for scope and cost control including change management processes, variation registers and cost estimates

What Gets You in the Game?
- Proven experience in contract management within large-scale, high-tempo event environments - i.e. international sporting events, exhibitions, festivals.
- Strong understanding of Overlay and temporary infrastructure contracting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex contracts, multi-vendor relationships, and financial reporting in deadline-driven settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with legal, procurement, operational, and leadership stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, solution-focused, and capable of balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
- Strong and dynamic interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to maintain focus in a high pressure and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to successfully prioritise, implement, and manage complex tasks from inception through to completion well within prescribed time frames and budget.
- Experience in a client facing role.
Must demonstrate the ability to work with agility, foster trust, embrace inclusivity, collaborate as one united team, and consistently strive for excellence.
