Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Regional Manager to oversee the North Coast region. This full-time position involves supporting and driving golf participation across clubs, schools, minigolf, golf practice centres, virtual golf. They will also be responsible for Men’s and Women’s regional events and administration. The successful candidate will provide essential services to golf facilities, support local events, and work autonomously to achieve key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and service all golf facilities within the North Coast region to increase golf participation.
- Manage and administer Men’s, Women’s and junior events regionally
- Drive participation in golf across all schools, minigolf, golf practice centres, and virtual golf.
- Provide support at targeted local events and activations.
- Engage with key stakeholders at various levels to promote golf development.
- Manage databases and produce bi-monthly reports.
- Learn and implement internal and national golf programs.
- Collaborate with Golf NSW and JNJG event staff for events across NSW/ACT as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including child protection standards.
Selection Criteria – Essential:
- In-depth knowledge of the game of golf.
- Proficiency in database management, Microsoft Office, and reporting.
- Experience and knowledge in tournament software (Golf Genius preferred)
- Ability to quickly learn and implement internal and national programs.
- Strong passion for game development and participation activities.
- Working closely with Regional Academy of Sport (NCAS)
- Residency within the region of operation.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong project and time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
- Experience engaging with external stakeholders to drive participation.
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet annual KPIs.
- Experience working with children and understanding appropriate behaviour when engaging with them.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWC) for NSW.
- Current Driver’s License.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (required for accessing schools).
Selection Criteria - Desirable:
- Knowledge of the structure of golf in NSW and Australia.
- Qualified PGA Member
- Qualifications in Sports Administration, Sport/Event Management, or a related field.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as needed.
Renumeration Package:
- An attractive remuneration package is available based on experience, qualifications, and skills
- Serviced Motor Vehicle or Annual Vehicle Allowance
