About BGS

Founded in 1882, Brighton Grammar is an Anglican school passionate about developing, inspiring and guiding each boy to achieve his personal best in every way. The School’s evidence informed teaching and learning strategy, supported by our in-house research centre, attract the best minds in education.

In addition to teaching staff, we have a large team of professional support staff who are experts in their own areas. These staff are a vital part of our dynamic School community and, alongside our teachers, strive constantly for what is best for the boys. The role 

Our BGS+ suite of programs offers a range of opportunities for children to develop their skills and interests, take on new challenges, and follow their passions whatever they may be. With many of these innovative programs being open to the wider community, there’s a growing variety of programs on offer resulting in this being an exciting part of Brighton Grammar School to work in!

Commencing in July 2025, the Swim School & BGS+ Programs Coordinator is responsible for oversight of the administrative aspects of all BGS+ programs including monitoring bookings, attending to queries, processing payments, creating memberships, advertising schedules/timetables and rostering/staff management. Given the focus of the role, the hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm and additional leave is provided.

As this is a significant role in the delivery of our BGS+ programs, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

• A hands-on attitude and administration experience to ensure the successful operation of all BGS+ Programs.
• Experience working within a membership/customer service position.
• Previous experience in a fast paced administrative position with experience in a swim school being considered highly advantageous.
• Swim Teacher qualifications are highly desirable as is exposure to a Learn to Swim environment and a lifesaving qualification.
• A commitment to providing a high level of customer service and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of individuals.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of the administration team.
• Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs and requirements of the position.
• Experience with basic entry level accounting would be advantageous.
