Description

Football South Coast (FSC), based in the Illawarra, has close to 15,000 registered players and is currently seeking a Competition Administrator to assist with the management of FSC competitions and the overall administration of football.

This role requires a strong focus and emphasis on the administrative excellence required by the organisation, which includes the administration and co-ordination of FSC competitions.

Primary Accountabilities and Duties

  • Assist with the management and administration of FSC competitions including the registrations, fixturing, results and ensuring adherence to competition and other regulations
  • Coordinate club/team application and administration for FSC Competitions
  • Relationship Manager to relevant FSC Clubs and member
  • Coordinate the administrative aspects of disciplinary issues and liaising with the Disciplinary Committee
  • Events management for key events such as functions and finals
  • Assist with policy review and development
  • Compliance with all FSC Corporate and staff policies and procedures.
  • Attend relevant FSC club and council meetings and fixtures as required
  • Ensure close liaison with other competitions across FSC to ensure streamlined processes

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications in sports administration or business management are preferred

Desired Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience in sporting administration with a keen interest in football and knowledge of local competitions
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to manage and prioritise tasks over a wide range of functions and responsibilities
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with members of the football community
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing a diverse range of customers
  • Willingness to work weekends and non-traditional hours as required
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of all Microsoft Office suite products
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines of competing priorities
