About Us

Founded in 1917, the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE) is one of Australia’s leading independent tertiary institutions, known for excellence in sport, health, science, dance, sports business, and teacher education. We are passionate about student success professionally and personally and we are looking for someone who shares that passion.

This role is a perfect fit for recent grads or first-time job seekers who are ready to bring energy, creativity, and people skills to a dynamic and supportive student services team.

About the Role

As our Student Engagement Coordinator, you will be at the heart of ACPE’s vibrant student life bringing ideas to life through events, activities, and campaigns that create a real sense of community. You will report to the Student Connect Manager and work closely with different teams across the college, as well as with external partners, to make sure every event runs smoothly and feels memorable for our students.

This is an ideal first or early career role for someone looking to learn and grow in event Plan and run student activities: think sports days, social events, fundraising drives, and our Annual Awards Dinner.

  • Help coordinate ACPE's UniSport Nationals teams and student sports competitions.
  • Collaborate with the Student Representative Council and support the Volunteer Program.
  • Create fun and engaging social media posts, emails, digital displays, and student announcements.
  • Welcome new students at Orientation Week and introduce them to our gym and student lounge.
  • Keep things running smoothly with logistics, bookings, and ordering event gear and merch.
  • Help with exam supervision or cover the front desk.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Enthusiastic and enjoys working with people.
  • A team plyer who can also run with their own ideas.
  • Organised, creative, and keen to learn.
  • Comfortable using social media and Microsoft Office.
  • Ready to roll up your sleeves and get involved.

Must Haves:

  • A degree in Education, Sport, Health, Business, or a related field (recent graduates welcome)
  • NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to complete)
  • NSW Driver’s License

Nice to Have (but not essential):

  • Any experience helping run events, volunteering, or being involved in student life (e.g. uni clubs, orientation weeks, sporting groups, open days, etc.)
  • An interest in sport, wellbeing, or physical activity
  • Familiarity with Instagram, Canva, or basic digital communication tools

Why Join Us

  • A fun, friendly, and supportive work culture
  • Involvement in major student events and sporting competitions
  • The chance to make an impact on student life at ACPE

At ACPE, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and value fresh perspectives. Whether you are a recent graduate or stepping into your first full-time role, we will support your journey.

If you're student focused, creative, and ready to build a community we want to hear from you.
