Location: Hybrid and within our offices at either Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide or Perth.
Employment Type: Fixed term contract to 30 June 2026.

You'll collaborate closely with the wider PA Pathways Team to ensure alignment and integration across programs. Please note, occasional interstate travel and weekend work will be required.

Under the guidance of the Entry Pathways Lead, the Pathways Specialist - Allied Health will drive a program of activity to activate and optimise Allied Health as an entry point to an allied health sector and Para-sport pathways. The position will take a strategic and systemic approach to build a broad network of allied health providers to act as referrers to Para-sport, providers of Para-sport and/or Para-sport support personnel. The Pathways Specialist - Allied Health will also drive a program of activity to increase understanding of the NDIS among Para-athletes and across the Para-sport system, and other initiatives to address the systemic barriers to entry and progression. 

  • Activate and optimise Allied Health as a strategic entry point to Paralympic Performance Pathways.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships within the Allied Health sector to support Para-sport development.
  • Lead initiatives to broaden athlete participation across diverse and under-represented impairment groups.
  • Develop frameworks integrating Allied Health providers into athlete performance planning and support.
  • Build a national network of Allied Health experts to drive Para-sport performance innovation.
  • Promote effective use of NDIS funding to support athlete wellbeing, development, and performance.
  • Increase awareness and capability within the Allied Health sector to refer, support, and engage in Para-sport pathways.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have experience in the Allied Health sector, with a strong understanding of disability and the barriers to Para-sport participation and progression. You will be a skilled collaborator, passionate about inclusion and social change, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment.

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple stakeholder relationships, Understanding of the allied health sector and Australian sport system 
  • Understanding of disability and barriers to entry and progression in Para-sport 
  • Successful coordination and delivery of impactful programs or projects 
  • Strong administrative and communication skills 
  • Education / training and development facilitation skills 
  • Planning and tracking progress, and delivering reports 
  • Analysing problems and implementing effective solutions
