About UniSport

UniSport Australia (UniSport) is a member service organisation. We strive to promote and foster the importance of university sport as an integral part of university life at 43 member universities, who collectively represent more than one million students nationwide. Our primary focus is providing expertise and leadership in university sport. We aim to deliver and integrate national policy that enhances and facilitates opportunities for competitive participation in sport for students at a regional, national and international level.

About the role

The position is one of three people within the International Program and National Leagues team working closely with the General Manager and Sport Program Manager to effectively deliver on UniSport Australia’s strategic objectives within the International Program and National Leagues area.

Specifically, the position will provide operations and administration support as required in the following areas:

  • Assisting with the production and updating of league schedules and fixturing requirements.
  • Assisting with procurement and distribution of relevant sports and event equipment.
  • Working alongside a variety of sport and team personnel, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support development and maintenance of relevant competition management and registration systems.
  • Appropriately processing all league documentation including player registration, scoresheets, collating awards and updating competition management platform.
  • Support league operations including processing team lists, flight ticketing, accommodation bookings.
  • Contribute to the management of UniSportTV and the league livestream, production and content creation.
  • Assisting in the production and review other league documents including handbooks and competition management manuals.
  • Helping to collate, allocate, distribute, and track team uniforms and equipment.
  • Updating relevant website pages.
  • Contribute to the development of UniRoos team documents and communication including team guide, event time manuals, team communication platform.
  • Assist and support in contingency planning and support risk management planning.
  • Support other team operations and preparation including travel, accommodation, Headquarters, Team Clinic, freight, uniform distribution, equipment management.
  • Support financial processes and reporting including athlete invoicing.

Key information

  • Position is full time with contract duration from June to October 2025, or as negotiated.
  • The role may involve lifting and shifting of equipment such as signage, boxes, and tables.
  • A full induction to UniSport is provided.

Reporting

This position will report directly to the Sport Program Manager - International Program and National Leagues.  Due to the nature of the role, the position will also work closely with UniSport staff in other departments including Finance, Marketing and Communications, and National Programs.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Demonstrated Experience in Sports Administration
Experience in providing support to the operations, management and administration of sporting teams and competitions.

Strong Organisational Skills
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines under pressure. Attention to detail and accuracy in the preparation of relevant documentation and ability to uphold high standards of quality in all administrative tasks.

High-Level Communication Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including athletes, sponsors, team personnel, and service providers. A friendly and approachable manner is essential.

Technological Proficiency
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and other relevant systems. Experience with updating websites, using registration platforms, and contributing to digital media such as livestream production and content creation will be highly regarded.

Teamwork and Collaboration
A team player who can collaborate with others to achieve common goals and contribute positively to a team environment. Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a high level of enthusiasm and motivation including a willingness to take ownership of tasks, contribute ideas, respond to requests and support the success of league and team operations.
