Banyule Hawks Basketball Club is growing fast with over 1000 registered players and coaches. The Club has just launched its Technical Officials Program and is looking for a number of professionals to lead our new referee program.
Position: Referee Coach
Job Description: We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Referee Coach to join our new referee program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing referees at all levels, from beginners to advanced, and will play a crucial role in supporting and coordinating referee development and getting our Referee program off the ground.
Role Requirements:
- Train and upskill referees from beginners to advanced levels
- Support the ongoing development of referees
- Coordinate and manage referee development programs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for referees
- Provide mentorship and guidance to referees at various stages of their development
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance referee skills and performance
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure the success of the referee program
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of referees and provide constructive feedback

Role Requirements:

Responsibilities:
- Manage the Banyule Hawks Referee email inbox
- Organise shift reports
- Provide essential administrative support to the Referee department
- Assist with rostering
- Support in the start up of our referee program.

Court Supervisors:
- No prior experience required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Comprehensive training and information will be provided
Referees:
- Currently qualified referees
- Individuals interested in beginning referee training
- If over 18, must possess a Working with Children Check (WWCC)
