Over 400,000 people participate in badminton in Australia and nearly 340 million people participate in Badminton across the world making it one of the top 5 participation sports. Badminton is a Commonwealth, Olympic, and Paralympic sport and has a significant state, national and international events structure.
There are over 325 badminton clubs and Associations across Australia, and our sport is a proud member of the Badminton World Federation (BWF), Badminton Oceania, Australian Olympic Committee, Commonwealth Games Australia and Paralympics Australia.
Hundreds of thousands of students participate in badminton each year in Australian schools and it is estimated that over 90% of Australians participate in badminton at some point in their lives whether it be at a club, in the backyard, at school or in the park!
Table Tennis is an Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games sport that is enjoyed by all age groups of the community from Juniors through to Veterans competitors. The sport is played in all States/Territories throughout Australia.
Table Tennis Australia is the National Sporting Organisation for the sport of table tennis in Australia and is affiliated with both the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), who are responsible for the sport at the international level, and ITTF-Oceania, who are responsible for the sport at the continental level.
Table Tennis Australia's purpose in accordance with its 2023-2025 Strategic Plan is:
"For the Australian table tennis community to collectively get more Australians engaging with table tennis in more ways, more places, and more often".
Heading towards the 2032 Brisbane Olympics & Paralympics, it is an exciting time to join the Badminton and Table Tennis Australia Team as we are seeking to recruit a National Integrity Manager.
About the Role
The National Integrity Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the CEO, and work alongside key Badminton Australia (BA) and Table Tennis Australia (TTA) staff, BA & TTA Boards and Committee members, to ensure the organisations have best practice integrity, risk and compliance systems, processes and policies, while providing leadership in the delivery of safe, ethical, and inclusive practices across Badminton and Table Tennis.
Key duties will include:
- Manage the complaint resolution process in accordance with the relevant policies, including liaising with Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) and other stakeholders.
- Liaise with SIA and NSO member organisations to implement the National Integrity Framework across all levels of the sport.
- Develop and manage other NSO policies, guidelines and processes that inter-relate with the National Integrity Framework.
- Develop an NSO complaint handling process in accordance with relevant policies and in partnership with other stakeholders, including Sport Integrity Australia.
- Ensure compliance with integrity policy requirements, including National Integrity Framework and NSO Anti-Doping Policy.
- Provide leadership and assistance to NSO member organisations regarding integrity issues, concerns and practices, including in relation to any alleged breaches of the NSO’s rules, regulations, codes and policies.
- Operate in a timely and efficient manner, seeking advice, escalating complex matters and influencing accordingly
- Develop / maintain the NSO’s complaint management system ensuring best practice principles for data management and confidentiality are incorporated.
- Developing and maintaining sustainable and effective operational relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Sport Integrity Australia.
- Develop and deliver integrity education resources and programs to staff, SSO’s, athletes, volunteers and other stakeholders.

What we are looking for;
We are looking for a proven performer who has experience implementing best practise integrity management or similar risk and compliance programs. You will have a strategic mindset and at the same time be able to pivot on a day-to-day basis to address matters in these dynamic sports. Your ability to get things done is critical to your success.
Ideally you will have:
- Proven ability to evaluate and manage reports of unacceptable behaviour in a fair and impartial manner.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively navigating difficult conversations with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships and influence change.
- Organisation and time management - ability to manage a caseload or manage competing priorities and adhere to strict deadlines to achieve results in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated strong record-keeping and problem-solving skills. Experience in analysing complex information and developing plans to achieve desired and timely outcomes.
- Demonstrated personal qualities of integrity, initiative, drive and adaptability.
- Experience in managing discreet, sensitive and confidential information.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in sport management, law, governance or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in the Australian sport sector, particularly in the provision of advice in areas including member protection, child safeguarding, Anti-Doping and corruption in sport. (Desirable)
- Hold a current police and working with children check or the ability to obtain these prior to the commencement of employment and a current driver's licence.
