The Fintona rowing program has been operating for almost 40 years and has gone from strength to strength during that time. Our program has produced some outstanding results, including last season culminating with our highest number of A finalists at the Head of School Girls’ Regatta. We are currently seeking an exceptional and experienced rowing coach to join this exciting program and our dedicated rowers.
As the Head Rowing Coach, this position is responsible for planning and facilitating various aspects of the Fintona Rowing program. Working collaboratively with the Rowing Coordinator, this position ensures the smooth and successful operation of the program, is responsible for boat shed operations and manages the boat fleet. The Head Rowing Coach will also coach a crew.
The successful applicant will have:
- experience in coaching and leading a team of coaches;
- excellent knowledge of rowing methodologies and of Rowing Victoria/Australia guidelines;
- highly developed communication skills;
- Level 2 Rowing coaching qualification;
- Current Victorian Drivers’ Licence; and
- First aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis certifications.
As attendance at rowing training, regattas and rowing camps is essential, this role requires flexibility in working hours and days across the 2025/2026 rowing season.
