SSMG Anderson is one of Sydney’s leading providers of multi-sport competitions and corporate sporting events, delivering high-energy programs like Tag League, Lunchtime Legends, and a growing roster of social and competitive leagues across Sydney. We’re expanding - and looking for a driven, energetic, and commercially-minded sales professional.

This role is all about growing our business. As the New Business Sales Executive, your primary focus will be to:

  • Generate new leads and convert them into long-term partners or team registrations
  • Build strong relationships with corporate clients, community groups, and sporting organisations
  • Sell and package our competition offerings and custom sporting events to businesses across Sydney
  • Deliver tailored pitches for corporate team-building days, regular sport competitions, and internal wellness activations
  • Work closely with our competitions and marketing team to identify growth areas and market gaps

You will be the face of the brand to new business clients, and your success will directly impact our player growth, venue expansion, and brand reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, cold-call, and convert leads into paying clients and team registrations
  • Manage an active sales pipeline with clear reporting of weekly progress
  • Sell into corporate HR, wellbeing officers, social committees, and event managers
  • Build tailored packages based on client needs (e.g. lunchtime leagues, after-work comps, or one-off events)
  • Represent SSMG Anderson at promotional events, expos, and corporate demos
  • Maintain and develop client relationships with a long-term mindset
  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets and KPIs
  • Collaborate with operations and marketing to ensure smooth client handovers and activation

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in B2B or sports/event sales (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of corporate environments, especially wellness or social initiatives
  • Excellent communication, pitching, and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and hit targets
  • Passion for sport, community, and health-focused lifestyle businesses
  • Ability to build rapport and long-term relationships quickly
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales tracking tools

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience selling to HR or workplace wellness programs
  • Background in managing or coordinating sporting competitions or leagues
  • Existing Sydney-based business network or corporate contacts
  • Understanding of the Sydney metro area sport and recreation scene
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Canva, CRM’s and Social Media Marketing
