Casual positions available for the 2025/2026 Rowing Season.

MLC is one of Australia’s largest and most successful schoolgirl rowing programs which supports more than 160 students each season. Commencing with the Junior program in Year 8, there is a strong retention of students through to Intermediates and then into Senior crews. Our students compete at Victorian and inter-state regattas (including the Australian Rowing Championships and the New South Wales State Championships). The highlight of the season for all crews is competing at the Head of School Girls regatta.

Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Deliver quality coaching across a broad spectrum of skill level, ability, and experience
  • Plan, organise and manage safe training sessions to develop rowers’ skills, fitness and form in-line with the skills matrix and training program
  • Possess the ability to develop, strengthen and improve our student athletes 
  • Assist with operational aspects of the rowing program
  • Be proactive in quiet moments 
  • Be a team player

About You

  • Rowing Australia, Level 1 Coach Accreditation
  • Marine recreational motor boat license
  • Level 1 First Aid Certificate, including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective planning and organisational skills
  • Acts professionally and maintains appropriate confidentiality
  • A current Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Be open to ideas, striving for excellence and have a high level of integrity
