The Sport Development Coordinator is a newly created ongoing position responsible for supporting the CEO and Board in the delivery of strategic projects to enable Karate Australia and its affiliated clubs to grow and develop through the delivery of the Strategic Plan. This position is the primary point of contact for clubs and members (instructors, coaches, officials, athletes and members).
Key responsibilities include:
Growing participation and engagement
Vounteer training and development
Supporting Business Operations
Role requirements:
A tertiary qualification in sport and recreation management or previous experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated experience in sports development and administration.
Knowledge of National and/or State Sport Organisation requirements to Sport Australia e.g. Game Plan.
Experience in the review, development and implementation of plans and policies.
High level of competency in using Microsoft Office Suite and website content management systems (CMS).
Confident communicator and ability to elicit cooperation from and work with a range of people.
Demonstrated experience working with volunteers in a not-for-profit environment.
Able to work effectively autonomously and as part of a remote team.
Willingness to work flexible hours as and when required including interstate travel.
