AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Team Purpose
The Marketing, Media & Communications team is responsible for owned, earned and paid media channels.
Working across the business the team is responsible for developing and executing campaigns that grow the number of people cycling and riding in our events; participating in programs and engaging with the ARA Australian Cycling Team and initiatives such as AusBike.
With a focus on building our brand profile and engagement with the sport, the team is also responsible for effective corporate communication.
Position Purpose
The Marketing Specialist / Manager - Club & Community, is responsible for delivering integrated marketing campaigns across our diverse portfolio of products and programs, with a view to driving grassroots participation, AusCycling memberships, AusBike registrations, brand awareness, and growing positive sentiment towards AusCycling.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to AusCycling’s overall community marketing strategy.
- Support the Head of Marketing & Brand in the development of marketing campaign plans for key AusCycling products and programs. This includes the AusBike bike education program, AusCycling memberships, participation/Come & Try initiatives, and State-based events and activities across all cycling and riding disciplines.
- Develop and deliver go-to-market plans for each marketing campaign.
- Develop design briefs and ensure creative assets are approved by relevant stakeholders and delivered in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Content & Communications Specialists to drive and execute content plans through AusCycling’s owned channels, to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across business units, representing marketing in project planning sessions and contributing to overall project plans.
- Work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to monitor live marketing campaigns, ensuring activity is optimised to drive business objectives (sales, registrations, event attendance), within budget.
- Measure and report on the performance of all campaign marketing activity, producing post-campaign reports, and assessing against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Manage key agency relationships, including with relevant media, creative, and digital agencies.
- Attend and help prepare for meetings with key external stakeholders and funding partners.
- Collaborate with key partners to leverage investment and achieve defined objectives.
- Contribute to the development and execution of AusCycling’s overarching marketing and brand strategy.
