Work type: Permanent Part Time - 32 hours per week and will include split shifts and weekend work.
The Head Coach is accountable for the development and execution of the swimming squad, providing lifelong opportunities for swimmers.
About you
You enjoy swimming, love working with children through to adult athletes and want to teach the skills and attributes of competitive swimming and water safety to others.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to communicate, interact and build effective relationships with both internal and external parties that have an invested interest in the program. The applicant will demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the Aquatic leadership team.
Essential criteria
- At least 3 years’ experience in coaching competitive swimming squads
- Coaching qualification through Australian Swimming or international equivalent
- Knowledge of club and team administrative duties
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate (including Provide First Aid, Provide Basic Emergency Life Support and Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Desirable criteria
- Experience developing strong relationships and working with both internal & external stakeholders in international swimming
Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $38.62 - $44.71 per hour, plus 11.5% Superannuation, and will be negotiated commensurate with the skills, qualifications and experience of the preferred applicant.
