Paddle Australia are calling on all volunteers, with applications to be part of the 2025 ICF Slalom World Championships Sydney 2025 now open!  

The 2025 ICF Slalom World Championships is a chance to be part of history, marking 25 years since the iconic Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, and 20 years since the last World Championships were held at Penrith Whitewater.

While the world’s best athletes are preparing to head down under, we’re looking for passionate volunteers who can help us make it an unforgettable event.

Event details: 

  • Competition dates: Monday 29th September - Saturday 4th October 2025* 
  • Location: Penrith Whitewater Stadium

*Official training will take place from 21st - 28th September, some volunteer roles will be required for this period.

Volunteer roles:

We are looking to recruit a number of roles to support with the event delivery, including;

  • Sport specific roles - scoring, timing, equipment control and Field of Play
  • Ceremonies
  • Athlete Services
  • Spectator Services
  • Accreditation
  • Workforce Support
  • VIP/Hospitality
  • Drivers
  • Media Operations

To be eligible to volunteer at this event, you must be at least 16 years old by 29th September 2025. If you are 18 or older and your application is successful, you will also be required to provide a valid Working with Children Check. Please note, the check is free for volunteers.

Please note, submitting a volunteer application does not guarantee selection. All applications will be reviewed following the deadline and the Volunteer Coordinator (Emily Scott) will be in touch to confirm if you have been successful.
