A rare opportunity is available for a full time Programs Coordinator to lead the team at YMCA Epping. This is a newly created position with career progression and professional development opportunities.

We are looking for a vibrant leader to be part of a small but connected team at YMCA Epping. Y NSW are looking for someone who can maintain but also grow our various programs within the centre, as well as promote growth and maximise our staff performance.

You will be responsible for driving new business, ensuring current programs improve in quality with the aim of program best practices, and leading various teams within our centre to ensure our community is served to the best of our ability. You will be working closely with the Gymnastics Coordinator to ensure customer enquiries are met and support day to day operations as needed.

About the role

The Programs Coordinator will be an efficient well-organised, self-motivated person, showing strong commitment to staff and training. Emphasis on leadership and motivation in a challenging environment will require excellent communication and presentation skills. You will drive innovation within the team to meet professional development expectations within your team.

You will provide opportunities for participation and membership growth within the program areas in the centre, with a focus on growth, development, and assistance with current or future programs. You will also be responsible for ensuring all staff are up to date in their training and performing to a high standard. With the responsibility to continuously review our current program offerings, you will improve the performance of these products which will increase membership satisfaction and experience. The role will also see the successful candidate set KPIs to ensure growth of programs (both financial and performance based) which will be implemented and assessed.

What you will come with:

  • Previous experience in an administrative/customer service role
  • Previous experience in a fitness leadership role
  • Knowledge of Community Recreation
  • AusActive Registration or Equivalent 
  • Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness
  • Apply First Aid & CPR
  • Working with Children Check
  • Strong sales background

Would be great for you to have:

  • Experience in the development of staff and implementation of business development projects
  • Demonstrated staff supervision and leadership
  • Experience in health and fitness
  • Experience in personal training
  • Experience in sales and marketing
