Overview
The Advanced Certificate in Coaching AFL Craft Fundamentals provides education for coaches about how to coach fundamental skills & breakdown craft for Australian Rules Footballers. The course aims to teach coaches how to analyse skills and break them down in a sequential order to coach players in a step by step process. The course covers craft insights of goal kicking, field kicking, handball, tackling, marking, ground ball, evading, body work and craft for specific positions. Not only do we teach coaches a range of different techniques, but also what situation to apply them in so players can adapt these techniques under pressure. With a large percentage of our previous participants being involved within AFL Clubs in development roles, this course is catered for coaches within development programs.

Presenter - Austin Stubbs
Austin O’Connor Stubbs, is an accomplished Football Coach who has an extensive amount of education and experience working across both the AFL/AFLW competitions in a range of roles such as analytics and coaching. Austin’s expertise is in the area of skill acquisition and development coaching. He has worked with five current and former senior AFL coaches and is the Director of Development for AFHP High Performance Coaching, where he works to professionally develop AFL coaches across all levels of the industry.
Format
The Centre for Athlete and Sports Education courses are delivered via Live Zoom Workshops plus Pre and Post Course Online Activities in our Learning Management System to provide a rich educational experience that can be accessed from any location at any time. If you are unable to attend the Zoom workshop/s they recorded and available in the online portal to watch for 7 days post workshop.
