Detailed Description

The position will be based in Port Hedland, a town of rich heritage, spectacular landscapes, friendliness, a diverse and embracing community and relaxed lifestyle. As the largest bulk export port in the world, the town is home to global resource leaders and is signi?cant to the national interest.

Our vision is ambitious, forward focussed and exciting and we are seeking applications from candidates genuinely interested in tackling the challenges unique to the region and who want to be a part of a team that is making real change in the Pilbara.

Reporting to the Manager of Facilities, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of sport and recreation initiatives, services and projects across the region. A key focus of this role will be developing strategic documents and policies that support the growth of active, connected and inclusive communities within the Town through the planning of recreation, open space and sport facility projects.

The preferred applicant should have strong knowledge of emerging industry trends, along with the ability to develop strategic documents and manage key projects.
