Due to the retirement of our long serving current CEO, an exceptional and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sandringham Football Club team in this key position.

About the Sandringham Football Club

Established in 1929, the Sandringham Football Club is affiliated with St Kilda Football Club, and part of the Victorian Football League (VFL). A highly regarded Club, it has built a strong relationship with the Bayside community while experiencing significant on-field success having won 10 VFA/VFL Premierships.

The Opportunity

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a CEO to lead the team and manage all aspects of the Club's administration, particularly in the marketing area. Reporting to the Club's Committee of Management, this diverse "hands on" role will have a broad range of responsibilities and activities to elevate the Club's aspirations and directions.

Responsibilities will vary from day to day but will include specific duties such as maintaining a strong partnership with the St Kilda Football Club, growing sponsorships and revenue, attending VFL Meetings, providing secretarial functions to the Board, staff management, strategic planning, media liaison and financial management.

Budgeting for, organising and running corporate events to maximise revenue for the football club will be expected. In addition, there will be an opportunity to develop new concepts and initiatives.

About You

Ideally the successful applicant will have a proven track record in sporting administration, with strong business acumen. Commercially minded, you are a valued leader and team player who is a great all-rounder with the passion to achieve results and kick some goals for the Club.

You are highly regarded for your interpersonal skills and your operational expertise. You have a strong foundation in general football administration, with demonstrated experience in marketing and fundraising activities. Previous experience in football, including the recruitment of players would be advantageous.
