The VIS are looking for expressions of interest for a dynamic and passionate high performance professional to join its team in the role of Lead Physiologist for Swimming. The position will be based at the VIS headquarters in Melbourne’s Albert Park servicing athletes training at Swimming Australia’s High Performance Centres (HPC).

As part of an inter-disciplinary sports science and medicine team this role is responsible for providing cutting edge physiological support to HPC coaches and athletes identified as part of the AIS and Australia’s Winning Edge High Performance strategy, to achieve success at World Championships and Olympic Games.

To be successful in this role, you should have had extensive experience working as a sport scientist with high performance athletes and a proven ability working within an integrated / multi-disciplinary program environment.

The successful applicant will also need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound organisational and planning skills and attention to detail, and the ability to problem solve and provide solutions that will positively impact performance.

Remuneration for this role will between the range of $65-80k based on qualifications and experience.
