Detailed Description

This program educates participants in how to deal with medical emergencies arising from shock, bleeding, burns, fractures, soft tissue injuries, cardiac and respiratory emergencies, exposure, and poisoning. This course is ideal for anyone involved in child supervision including parents, grandparents and teachers.

Units of competency gained from this course are:

  • HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • HLTAID002 - Provide basic emergency life support
  • HLTAID003 - Provide first aid

Prerequisites:

Must be 14 years of age.
