Description
This course will teach you the skills and knowledge to provide CPR and First aid. Medical emergencies arising from shock, bleeding, burns, fractures, soft tissue injuries, cardiac and respiratory emergencies, exposure, and poisoning will be covered.
Units of competency gained from this course are:
- HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID011 - Provide first aid
Prerequisites:
- This course requires a reasonable level of physical fitness
- Candidates must be at least 12 in the calander year they complete the course
