Participants in this course (Swimming and Water Safety Teacher) are advised that there are no designated exit points in this program. For assessment purposes, trainer observation is conducted over the duration of the program and both practical and theory assessments are conducted in the final sessions of the last day. To ensure these assessment requirements are met, participants are to attend all sessions and successfully complete all assessments to be considered for an award.
This course requires a reasonable level of physical fitness and swimming ability. It is recommended that candidates are 17 years in the calendar year they undertake the course.
Once your Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Skill Set is issued you will have the opportunity to apply for an LSV Swim Teacher Licence as outlined in the Guidelines for Safer Pool Operations. Successful completion of this course will result in the award of SISSS00112 Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Skill Set
