TAKE YOUR COACHING CAREER ON AN ADVENTURE!

Gymnastics Coach – School & Remote Community Programs

Gymnastics Northern Territory | Full-Time | 12-Month Contract | Immediate Start

Love gymnastics? Love adventure? Want a job that takes you beyond the four walls of a gym?

Gymnastics Northern Territory (GNT) is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and adventurous Gymnastics Coach to join our team and help bring the joy of gymnastics to children and communities across the Northern Territory!

This isn't your average coaching job.

Imagine swapping the gym floor for the incredible landscapes of the NT, travelling to regional and remote communities, connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and introducing children to gymnastics who may otherwise never have the opportunity to experience our sport.

If you're passionate about coaching, love working with kids and are ready for a rewarding new challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

About the Opportunity

As our School and Remote Community Programs Coach, you'll play an important role in delivering fun, engaging and inclusive recreational gymnastics programs to children across the Territory.

Working with schools, community organisations and local stakeholders, you'll help build confidence, develop fundamental movement skills and inspire a lifelong love of physical activity.

In 2025, Gymnastics NT delivered programs across more than 30 communities and schools, providing gymnastics opportunities to over 5,000 young Territorians.

Now we're looking for someone to help us continue growing that impact!

What Makes This Role Special?

• Adventure with purpose: Travel throughout the Northern Territory, experiencing regional and remote Australia while doing something you love.

• Make a real difference: Bring gymnastics to children who may have limited access to organised sport and recreational opportunities.

• Variety every day: From school halls and community centres to remote sporting facilities, no two days will be the same.

• Be creative: Deliver exciting gymnastics experiences using adaptable equipment, imagination and your coaching expertise.

• Build meaningful connections: Work alongside schools, community leaders and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Grow professionally: Opportunities to contribute to events, coach education, club development and other exciting Gymnastics NT initiatives.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about gymnastics, physical activity and working with children.

• Confident delivering engaging recreational gymnastics programs to groups of varying ages and abilities.

• Positive, adaptable, reliable and comfortable working independently.

• An excellent communicator who can build relationships with children, schools and communities.

• Organised, resourceful and ready to embrace the challenges and rewards of remote program delivery.

• Willing and able to undertake extensive travel, including occasional weekend and out-of-hours work.

Essential requirements:

• Minimum Gymnastics Australia Intermediate GfA Coach accreditation or equivalent.

• Current driver's licence.

• NT Ochre Card, National Police Check and First Aid qualification.

• Right to work in Australia.

Experience working in remote communities, strong cultural awareness and four-wheel-drive experience would be highly regarded.
