Chinchilla Aquatic & Fitness Centre are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Swim Coach to join our aquatic team in a full-time position. This exciting role combines squad coaching, Learn to Swim instruction, school swimming and water safety programs, and broader aquatic centre operations.
We are looking for a team player who is willing to be an all-rounder, supporting various areas of the facility and contributing to a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective squad coaching sessions for swimmers of varying abilities.
Conduct Learn to Swim lessons in line with program standards.
Assist with the planning and delivery of school swimming and water safety programs.
Monitor swimmer progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Support aquatic operations through a flexible and team-focused approach.
Undertake lifeguarding duties as required to support operational needs.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for participants and visitors.
Work collaboratively with the wider team to drive program growth and exceptional customer experiences.
About You
Experienced in swim coaching and swimmer development.
Demonstrated Learn to Swim teaching experience.
Passionate about water safety and helping participants achieve their goals.
A flexible, positive, and proactive team member who is willing to assist across multiple areas of the centre.
Comfortable working as an all-rounder, including coaching, teaching, program delivery, and lifeguarding shifts when required.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Able to build positive relationships with swimmers, families, schools, and community groups.
Essential Qualifications
Swim Australia Coach (or equivalent)
Swim Australia Teacher (or equivalent)
Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification (or willingness to obtain)
Current CPR Certificate
Current First Aid Certificate
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
