Position 1: Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Coach
Full-Time or Part-Time Position
The Role
The Men's Artistic Gymnastics Coach is responsible for the coaching and development of athletes within our Men's Artistic Gymnastics program.
This position contributes to the delivery of high-quality coaching across squad, development squad, recreational and school-based programs while supporting athlete progression and competitive success within a child-safe and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Athlete Development
- Deliver structured training sessions aligned with Gymnastics Australia frameworks.
- Coach athletes across MAG squad and development squad programs.
- Support athlete progression through established performance pathways.
- Prepare gymnasts for competitions and performance events.
- Attend competitions as a Coach and/or Judge.
Participant Engagement
- Foster a positive, inclusive and motivating training environment.
- Build strong relationships with athletes and families.
- Support athlete wellbeing and long-term development.
Program Administration
- Maintain attendance and athlete records.
- Assist with program planning and skill progression development.
- Support communication with athletes and families.
- Assist with equipment planning and management.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all activities comply with child-safe standards and organisational policies.
- Maintain a safe training environment at all times.
- Follow risk management and safety procedures.
Essential Criteria
- Advanced Coaching Accreditation (Gymnastics Australia) in Men's Artistic Gymnastics or relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience coaching competitive gymnastics programs.
- Strong understanding of athlete development pathways.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to child-safe practices.
Desirable Criteria
- Judging accreditation.
- Experience attending and coaching at state or national competitions.
- Experience with program development and athlete pathway planning.
Position 2: Recreation Gymnastics Team Leader
Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time (Negotiable)
The Role
The Recreation Gymnastics Team Leader provides leadership, mentoring and coordination across our recreational gymnastics programs.
This role is ideal for an experienced coach who enjoys developing people, leading teams and ensuring high-quality participant experiences. The position combines coaching, leadership, floor coordination and program administration responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor, support and develop recreational gymnastics coaches.
- Provide coaching feedback and professional guidance.
- Promote coaching excellence and consistency across programs.
- Assist with onboarding and training new coaches.
Floor Coordination
- Lead daily floor operations and session delivery.
- Coordinate coach and participant rotations.
- Monitor safety and program quality.
- Ensure efficient and professional program delivery.
Coaching & Participant Experience
- Deliver engaging recreational gymnastics sessions.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment.
- Support participant skill development and retention.
- Build positive relationships with families and participants.
Program Administration & Development
- Support attendance management and record keeping.
- Assist with equipment planning and facility set-up.
- Contribute to program design, growth and improvement.
- Support recreational-to-competitive athlete pathways.
Safety & Compliance
- Champion child-safe practices and organisational policies.
- Monitor operational safety and risk management procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Gymnastics Australia standards.
Essential Criteria
- Intermediate or Advanced Coaching Accreditation (Gymnastics Australia).
- Demonstrated experience coaching gymnastics programs.
- Experience leading or mentoring staff.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
- Commitment to child-safe practices and inclusive coaching.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience coordinating gymnastics programs.
- Experience coaching pathway or development programs.
- Judging accreditation or competition experience.
