Knox Gymnastics is a proud supporter of the GymStar program in Victoria, we boast a large GymStar program of over 100+ GymStar athletes from Levels 3 through 10. We value the participation and growth of our GymStar athletes.
Role Overview
Knox Gymnastics is seeking a passionate gymnastics professional to step into a part-time (or full time for the right candidate) leadership role focused on the delivery and ongoing development of our GymStar program. GymStar is a fun, inclusive pathway for athletes who want to progress, compete and grow in a lower-pressure environment, and this role is about championing that experience.
This role carries accountability for the performance, culture, and successful delivery of the GymStar program at Knox Gymnastics, reporting to the Coach & Education Manager. The successful candidate will confidently lead, mentor, and develop our GymStar coaching team, and bring genuine warmth and enthusiasm to every session.
The role combines dedicated on-floor coaching and floor management with program leadership, coach development, communication with families, talent identification, and data tracking. Weekends and evenings may be required for competitions and events.
About you:
We are looking for a passionate and inclusion-minded gymnastics professional who has:
- A genuine love for GymStar and inclusive coaching - you see this pathway as a rewarding destination, not a stepping stone
- Current Gymnastics Australia Advanced accreditation with 5+ years of coaching experience
- A valid Working with Children Check
- Strong leadership capability, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and provide constructive feedback to coaches
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build positive relationships with athletes, families and coaches
- Ability to create inclusive, athlete-centred environments that celebrate participation, confidence and fun alongside skill development
- Proven success in athlete development, fostering long-term progression, technical growth and injury prevention within a positive, low-pressure environment
