The Opportunity
This is a genuine leadership opportunity. Over a two-year appointment, you’ll rebuild on-court performance, build squad depth, and work hand-in-hand with our Executive Committee on a bold club goal: fielding two teams in the Premier League space by 2028/29. You’ll also play a central role in reinvigorating Metro Jets’ player pathway, helping our next generation of Intermediate and development athletes progress into a strong, sustainable senior program.
About the Role
- Lead all coaching, selection and match-day decisions for the Premier League Reserves squad.
- Build a multi-season plan for squad growth toward two Premier League teams by 2028/29.
- Partner with the Executive Committee and Inters coaching staff to reinvigorate the club pathway program.
- Lead and mentor an Assistant Coach and a collaborative coaching team.

What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated senior or representative-level coaching experience.
- Current Netball Australia Intermediate Coach Accreditation (minimum), with willingness to progress to Advanced Accreditation.
- Strong understanding of Netball SA Premier League standards.
- A strategic mindset and genuine passion for athlete pathway development.
- Alignment with Metro Jets’ values and culture.
Coaching Accreditation
Netball Australia accredits coaches across six tiers - Foundation, Development, Intermediate, Advanced, Elite and High Performance. We’re looking for a coach holding, at minimum, current Intermediate Coach Accreditation, with a genuine commitment to progress to Advanced Accreditation (the level Netball SA aligns to Premier League coaching) during the two-year term. Support toward this is provided by the club.
We are open to talking with experienced coaches not holding the required level of qualification that can evidence senior coaching success with a focus on player wellbeing.
