Gymnastics Australia is seeking a values-driven National Integrity Lead to join our National Integrity Unit. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an integrity, safeguarding, complaints, investigations, legal, governance or risk professional looking to make a meaningful impact in sport. Reporting to the General Manager Safeguarding, and working closely with our Head of Complaints and Investigations you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of complaints management and integrity screening across the sport. 

About the role

As the National Integrity Lead, you will:

  • Coordinate the intake, triage and administration of integrity and safeguarding complaints.
  • Support the management of sensitive and complex integrity matters.
  • Coordinate integrity screening activities across Gymnastics Australia.
  • Maintain accurate case records and reporting.
  • Provide advice and support to members and stakeholders on integrity policies and processes.
  • Monitor trends and identify opportunities for prevention, education and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to creating safe, inclusive and respectful environments across gymnastics in Australia. 

About you

You will bring:

  • Experience in complaints handling, integrity, safeguarding, investigations, governance, law, risk, compliance or a related field.
  • Strong judgement and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • An understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
  • A commitment to safeguarding children and protecting the integrity of sport.

Location: Flexible (Melbourne preferred)
Employment: 6-month contract, 0.8-1.0 FTE

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Passion and unwavering commitment to best practice safeguarding and integrity management in sport
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in sport management, law, law enforcement or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in the Australian sport sector, particularly in the provision of advice in areas including member protection, child safeguarding, dispute resolution and disciplinary procedures
  • Strong understanding of risk management practice in complaint management and ability to shift priorities to meet the needs of the organisation
