We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Manager - Club Competitions to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of OFC's Club Competitions, including the OFC Professional League.

About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Competitions, and working functionally with the Head of Professional League for Professional League activities, you will act as a senior project lead within OFC's Competitions department.

You will lead the end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of OFC's Club Competitions, ensuring they are delivered successfully and continue to develop as both high-performance and development platforms for football across Oceania.

This is a broad leadership role where you will bring together people, operations and stakeholders to successfully deliver complex international club competitions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead project teams in the planning, preparation and delivery of OFC Club Competitions, including the OFC Professional League.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure competitions are delivered effectively and on time.
• Develop and implement operational plans covering the full competition lifecycle, from host identification and bidding through to delivery and debriefing.
• Contribute to OFC's wider competition strategy, four-year competition calendar and annual budgeting.
• Develop competition regulations and standard operating procedures for OFC Club Competitions and the OFC Professional League.
• Ensure competitions are delivered in accordance with relevant OFC and FIFA statutes, regulations, directives and policies.
• Oversee match and competition operations within host locations and act as Match Coordinator for allocated competitions.
• Identify, monitor and mitigate operational risks throughout the competition lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with OFC Member Associations, clubs and other key stakeholders.
• Provide advice and reporting on competition matters to senior OFC leaders.
• Promote a high-performance, collaborative and stakeholder-focused culture across competition project teams.
• Support and develop team capability through leadership, coaching and collaboration.

The position operates across strategy and hands-on delivery, with responsibility for ensuring OFC's Club Competitions meet best-practice standards while providing a high-quality experience for participating clubs and stakeholders.

About You

You will be an experienced sport leader who knows what it takes to bring complex competitions and projects together in high-pressure environments.

You are comfortable leading people through a matrix or project-based environment, influencing stakeholders and making sound decisions when there are competing priorities and tight deadlines.

Importantly, you will be both strategic and operational. You can contribute to the longer-term direction of OFC's competitions while remaining close enough to the detail to ensure successful delivery on the ground.

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

• At least 5 years' experience in sport management or recreation, preferably involving club competitions.
• A minimum of 5 years' proven leadership experience, managing and mentoring diverse teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading and motivating high-performing teams, including within a matrix environment.
• A strong track record of managing multiple complex projects and meeting deadlines.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, influence and bring people together.
• Proven stakeholder and relationship management experience.
• Experience operating effectively in high-pressure environments.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 capability.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Fluency in French would be advantageous, while a Bachelor-level or higher qualification in Sports Management, Event Management or a related field is preferred.

The role requires flexibility to travel frequently within New Zealand and internationally. Candidates must be eligible to work in New Zealand and able to satisfy OFC's required criminal record and credit history checks.
