Description

Paddle WA is seeking a proactive and creative Marketing & Communications Manager to strengthen our brand, engage stakeholders, and promote paddling across Western Australia. Paddle WA is the recognised state sporting organisation for paddling, representing more than 1,500 members, clubs, coaches and volunteers throughout WA. 

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Officer, you will lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications initiatives that support Paddle WA's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and annual campaigns.
  • Manage content creation, digital marketing, social media, website content and analytics.
  • Create promotional materials, newsletters, event communications and annual reports.
  • Coordinate public relations activities and brand management.
  • Research marketing opportunities and support organisational growth.
  • Prepare and manage grant applications and reporting.
  • Maintain stakeholder engagement with clubs, disciplines, sponsors, media and government partners. 

Selection Criteria

We are seeking someone with the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years' marketing or communications experience.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in digital and social media marketing and knowledge/awareness of relevant platforms. (eg. WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva or similar platforms).
  • Content creation skills including photography and videography for social media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and contribute as part of a team.
  • A current driver's licence and Working With Children Check. 

Position Details

  • Part-time: 30 hours per week
  • Hybrid working arrangement available
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
