To conduct player selection trials with Head Coach and selection panel
To conduct regular training sessions for an allocated Rep Squad Team (Team)
To lead the allocated Team through regional tournaments and Central West Zone Association Championships
To build the reputation of the Association through its participation in tournaments and Association Championships
To provide all parties associated with your Team with a positive Rep Squad experience
To enhance and develop the skills of the players in your Team
Key Duties:
The key duties of this role include, but are not limited to, in conjunction with the Head Coach:
Lead all Team coaching matters relating to training, preparation, game day, and post-game review
Devise a training schedule and plan
Coach, mentor and develop the Team and assistant coach (where applicable)
Identify and maximise the underlying potential of players to deliver long-term growth in individual athletes
Provide players with direct learning at a practical level through individual, and team coaching instruction, including instruction in technique, specialist position skills and team skills
Utilise and maximise available resources to ensure individual athletes are technically, tactically, physically, and mentally prepared to perform to the highest possible standard
Achieve consistent improvement and competitive performances across the Rep season
Ensure that clear and appropriate team protocols and standards are established and maintained
Positively communicate with players and parents on areas for player improvement and growth in performance
Liaise and work collegiately with the Head Coach and other members of the Rep program coaching panel
Attend Rep Squad selection trials and assist with Squad selections
Attend the annual player induction meeting
Be available for seminars, workshops, sponsor events and photo sessions, as required
Provide a written report to the Board on the progress of the Team and suggestions for improvement in the Rep program as requested
Ensure up-to-date records are maintained and available on training attendance, game attendance, injuries, and player development progress.
