Your next career opportunity
You will coordinate programmes, services and support for affiliated sporting clubs, enhancing student participation and performance. You will guide clubs on governance, compliance and development while building strong relationships across students, staff and community partners.
What you will deliver:
- Support clubs to design and deliver participation and performance programmes that engage diverse University of Melbourne students.
- Coordinate club-facing activities, including Orientation, forums, meetings, communications and annual surveys, ensuring clear, consistent messaging.
- Advise club leaders on governance, compliance and risk, including adherence to the Gender-based Violence Code.
- Manage operational support such as facility bookings, funding processes, records, databases, and performance data for awards and promotion.
- Provide insights on budgets, facilities, competition opportunities and industry trends to strengthen club operations and development.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold a degree in Human Movement, Sport or Recreation Management, or bring equivalent relevant experience and training.
- Bring experience planning, managing and delivering sport participation and/or performance programmes, ideally with community clubs.
- Understand how community sporting clubs operate, including governance, volunteers, competitions and facility access.
- Communicate clearly in writing and in person, providing responsive, high-quality service to students and stakeholders.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines with strong organisational skills.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, alumni, local government and facility operators in dynamic environments.
