Netball Victoria is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head Physiotherapist & Performance Health Lead (Fixed Term) to drive best-in-class athlete care for the Melbourne Vixens and across our high-performance pathway.

About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager – High Performance & Pathways and working closely with the Melbourne Vixens Head Coach, you will lead the delivery of world-class physiotherapy services while shaping the broader performance health strategy across Netball Victoria.
You’ll provide hands-on physiotherapy support within the Vixens program, while also delivering strategic oversight across pathway programs, playing a critical role in injury prevention, rehabilitation, return-to-play, and athlete availability.
Leading performance health & pathway alignment, whilst influencing and innovating, this role will:
- Deliver integrated, proactive physiotherapy services including injury prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return-to-play decision-making
- Drive injury prevention, rehab and return-to-play frameworks
- Lead and coordinate performance health staff and external providers within an interdisciplinary care model
- Provide strategic oversight across Vixens Academy & pathway programs.
- Mentor and develop physiotherapy staff in the pathways system
- Manage injury data, reporting and athlete health insights
- Shape and evolve Netball Victoria’s performance health frameworks and standards
- Contribute to strategic planning and high-performance decision-making
What you will bring:
- A degree (or higher) in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in high-performance or elite sporting environment
- Current AHPRA registration (unrestricted)
- APA Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy titling (or equivalent progression)
- Current First Aid & CPR, WWCC and Drivers Licence
- Strong capability across injury prevention, load management and return-to-play frameworks
- Experience leading or mentoring staff and working across complex stakeholder environments
- Confidence working across both hands-on clinical delivery and strategic program leadership
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills.
Netball experience is highly desirable but not essential.
