St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Hockey Coach to lead our Open Hockey team. This is a casual position, ideal for a coach who is passionate about developing senior school athletes and fostering a positive, team-focused environment.

Located in the heart of Corinda, St Aidan's is a close-knit community with just over 1,000 students from Prep to Year 12, including a co-educational Kindergarten. Our smaller school environment ensures that each student receives personalised attention and thrives in a supportive atmosphere.

The Role

As the Open Hockey Coach, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and structured training sessions
  • Coach and manage the team during QGSSSA fixtures
  • Develop players’ technical skills, game awareness and teamwork
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive and high-performance team culture
  • Liaise with the Hockey Coordinator regarding schedules, attendance and performance

About You

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience coaching hockey, preferably at a senior or representative level
  • Strong knowledge of hockey techniques, strategies and game play
  • The ability to motivate and support student athletes of varying abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to student wellbeing and positive sporting experiences

Requirements

  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or eligibility to obtain
  • Relevant coaching qualifications (desirable)
  • Availability for scheduled training sessions and weekend fixtures during the season

Details of education and qualifications. Any other relevant information, such as professional memberships and community activities.
  • Professional Referees: Provide details of two professional referees, both of which you have reported to (including one from your current or most recent employer).
