Due to expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a volunteer Head Technical Coach working with players and coaches at our venue in Camberwell with the potential to also influence our Croydon and Donvale venues. This is a 2IC role reporting to the Director. We have a great bunch of coaches, we need to ensure they are all learning and developing their own skills and knowledge.
Our coaches are mentored, trained and given a coaching uniform plus we pay for you to gain formal coaching accreditation. We encourage our coaches to attend National Junior camps and to promote themselves.
The role initially is at Camberwell High School on Fridays from 5.00 - 7.00pm and potentially Croydon Mondays 5.00 - 7.00pm and Donvale Sundays 4 - 6pm.
This is an exciting time as we have grown every year and are now coaching 200 children each week.
This is a great opportunity for an interested candidate to contribute to our Junior Volleyball Academy. We coach 5-16 year old players, some who may go on to State and National representation, others who just want to have fun and improve. We look for people interested to use their coaching knowledge to work with children and coaches. We are strong believeres that the game teaches the game, so our coaching is all about breaking down the game and teaching kids how to enjoy and compete.
You are likely a current player who has played at a high level. No prior coaching experience is required if you have volleyball playing experience, we will help you get your coaching qualifications at no cost.
We promote within and have successfully developed some current players taking on the challenge of assistant coaching and coaches becoming Court Coaches.
