Join us on Parramatta’s positive transformation journey being responsible for managing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Aquatic Programs including but not limited to instructor/teacher management, class supervision, program efficiency and customer service delivery. 

On a daily basis, your main task will be:

  • Support strategic delivery by contributing to Aquatics & Wellness leadership priorities and implementing key programs aligned to Council’s Operational Plan. 
  • Lead aquatic programs including Swim School, ensuring high-quality, safe and customer-focused experiences across facilities.
  • Manage team and workforce operations including recruitment, rostering, training and performance to drive service excellence and teamwork. 
  • Oversee financial and operational performance through budget management, procurement and efficient program delivery aligned to the Management Plan. 
  • Drive continuous improvement and engagement through policy development, stakeholder communication, program promotion and performance reporting. 

 

About?you

The successful candidate should have extensive experience in aquatic programming and delivery, including minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the recreation and aquatic sector.

The candidate should have the below essential requirements:

  • Valid Aquatic teaching qualification AUSTSWIM, Royal Life Saving or Swim Australia Teacher of 
  • Swimming and Water Safety 
  • AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics OR alternative tertiary qualification, Diploma or higher, relevant to the role 
  • Current resuscitation certificate 
  • First Aid Certificate 
  • NSW Working with Children Clearance 
  • Strong background and experience in program and service delivery 
  • Experience in managing program, program revision and developing and implementing new programs
  • Ability to proactively identify and manage safety hazards associated with the operation of aquatic based programs and the centres 
  • Demonstrated capacity to prepare high quality reports and correspondence

 We are offering a full time term contract for up to 31 December 2026, with an attractive remuneration from $121, 367.67 plus 12% Superannuation
