About the role

This senior role is responsible for delivering and leading high quality physiotherapy services within NSWIS sport programs. You will plan and deliver proactive, evidence-based clinical services, working within multidisciplinary performance teams to optimise athlete health and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading injury management and return to performance planning
  • Delivering risk reduction and athlete availability strategies
  • Contributing to data-informed clinical decision making

You will work within a program with varying physical and technical, acrobatic demands, including athletes operating in high load and complex movement environments.

This is a full time position, attracting a salary range of $132,915 - $138,234 plus superannuation.  The contract period for this role is up to 31 December 2028 in line with the Olympic cycle.

About you

You are an experienced sports physiotherapist with a track record in high performance environments.

You deliver consistent, high quality clinical care and influence athlete, coach and team behaviours to achieve outcomes.

You:

  • Communicate clearly and work effectively within performance teams
  • Apply evidence and data to inform decisions
  • Manage complex injuries and return to performance
  • Maintain high professional standards and accountability

You will have

  • 8+ years’ physiotherapy experience, including high performance sport
  • Experience in technically demanding, high-skill sport environments
  • Proven ability to deliver injury prevention, rehabilitation and return to performance outcomes
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision making skills

 

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Master’s or APA titling (Sports & Exercise or Musculoskeletal)
  • AHPRA registration
  • First Ais and CPR
  • Valid Driver’s licence
  • Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain this prior to working with us.
