Headquarters Air Command (HQAC) is seeking a dynamic professional to join the A9 Human Performance & Safety (HPS) team. This is not your average clinical role – you will be providing services within the Air Force’s Human Performance Optimisation (HPO) work stream, delivering proactive, evidence-based programs to keep our personnel available and mission-ready.
What You’ll Be Doing
Work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to deliver targeted physiotherapy and physical training interventions to reduce injury risk and enhance availability
Apply performance monitoring, load management, and functional screening in a high-stakes settings to support the sustainment of operational readiness and capability
Collaborate with Physical Preparation Coaches, Physical Training Instructors, Medical Officers and other Defence Health staff to ensure an integrated, evidence-based approach to workforce care and the sustainment of operational readiness and capability.
Travel to operational bases and remote field sites to deliver services where they are needed most
Contribute to injury prevention strategy, data reporting, and inter-agency communication
Minimum 3 years’ experience in occupational or sports performance environments
AHPRA registration and Federal Police Check
Bonus points for APA titling as a sports, musculoskeletal, pain or occupational health physiotherapist
