The successful applicant will play a key role in coaching and mentoring athletes across the MAG program while supporting the ongoing development of coaches and the broader program.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Advanced Coach Accreditation or FIG 1 Qualification
Currently working towards Advanced Silver / FIG 2 Accreditation
Strong knowledge and understanding of the ALP and FIG Code of Points
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong lesson planning, organisational, and mentoring abilities
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Judging accreditation
Experience coaching athletes across multiple competitive levels
Ability to mentor and support junior coaches
Experience working within a team-focused environment
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality coaching across MAG programs
Plan and implement structured training sessions aligned with athlete development goals
Prepare athletes for competitions and events
Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive training environment
Mentor and support developing coaches within the program
Maintain professional communication with athletes, families, and staff
Assist with program development and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure all coaching practices comply with club policies and Gymnastics Australia requirements
Work Expectations
Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong leadership at all times
Maintain punctuality and preparedness for all training sessions and events
Work collaboratively with coaching staff and management
Uphold child safety and athlete wellbeing standards
Attend competitions, meetings, professional development, and club events as required
Maintain all relevant accreditation, first aid, and safeguarding requirements
