Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns that drive engagement, participation and revenue outcomes across UQ Sport programs and services.
  • Oversee the management, optimisation and continuous improvement of UQ Sport’s digital platforms and website, ensuring strong user experience, accessibility and conversion-focused content.
  • Develop and maintain strategic marketing and communications plans, including campaign calendars, workflows and governance processes to ensure coordinated, efficient and measurable delivery.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise across marketing and communications activity, supporting internal stakeholders and guiding a high-performing, collaborative team culture.

About You

We are looking for a hands-on and forward-thinking marketing leader who is passionate about sport, recreation and engaging university communities. You thrive on turning strategy into action, delivering impactful digital and campaign work, and creating meaningful experiences that drive participation and connection.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience  in marketing and communications within a complex organisation, including leadership of teams and delivery of end-to-end campaigns.
  • Strong hands-on capability in digital marketing, including website management, content creation and optimisation across web, email and social channels.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into practical, well-executed marketing plans that deliver measurable outcomes and stakeholder value.
  • Highly skilled in using data, insights and analytics to evaluate performance and continuously improve campaign and digital effectiveness.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence across diverse teams and external partners.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused leader who takes ownership, manages competing priorities effectively, and fosters a collaborative and positive team culture.
